We offer two Ruapehu accommodation options as well as a tramping lodge in Auckland’s Waitakere Ranges

Ruapehu Huts:

A Frame: 32 bed lodge consisting of eight rooms with two sets of bunks ( 4 x beds per room) plus 3 x bed Wardens room. Separate male/ female shared bathrooms. Upstairs area consists of kitchen, dinning room and lounge. Building fully carpeted. Click on Ruapehu Huts link for full details.

Bunkhouse: 20 bed lodge spread between three sleeping areas with each area partitioned off from the others. Separate male/female shared bathrooms. Kitchen/lounge/dinning all in one open plan area. Heating, cooking and lighting fully electric: fresh water and wastewater fully reticulated.

Both lodges are open during the ski season when we have resident wardens present and usually during the January summer period. At other times access for groups is by arrangement, with written instructions provided for opening and closing the buildings.

Waitakere Hut:

Accommodation for 18 persons in two separate bunkrooms plus 4 persons in lounge area. Lodge set in beautiful native bush area on the Anawhata Road. Most popular with school groups, Scout & Guide groups, walking & tramping groups, church groups and the like. Click on above link for full details.
